Oscar's Cheshire franchisee is enjoying a new life after redundancy
David Bass

Today, there’s more than one cat grinning in Cheshire - joined by the many dogs that have already sampled the benefits of Oscar. We too had something to smile about when we discovered their self-employment opportunity.
I spent 30 years on track with the railway network then redundancy called a halt to my career. At my age I was not ready to retire, even though there was an uncertainty as to what I could do. Going back on line I stopped at the Franchise Directory and then it was all change. Amid so much information I was drawn to communicating with the public – I could relate to that! I then needed to find confidence in a product or service.
My first call to Oscar prompted an excellent response; everything was clear from the start. I had no illusions that it would be easy and, after establishing the quality of their products, I was assured that my investment was in good hands. While taking advantage of their reliable support, the rest is down to me and of course my wife, Karen, who is just the ticket when it comes to administration.
